Switching from a 14oz titanium hammer with an 18” wood axe handle. Since I was used to the reach of a longer handle hammer for framing and form work I prefer the M1 with a straight grip. Though the M1 is balanced to be held well within the grip provided on a curved handle, I find that the straight handle allows gripping it right at it’s base or even sliding it’s base to mid palm more comfortable then the curved version. This allows for extra reach and a bigger swing when desired. The grip is amazing and the shock recoil is little to none. Hits super heavy! Enjoying the fact that the most vulnerable parts of the hammer can be replaced or even customized as you see fit. I do things with this hammer that I would typically get a pry bar or a sledge hammer for. New favorite! And yes… all day every day, had to try the leading competition… M1 #1! I can’t really swing it around as fast as my old hammer but the resulting thud of the M1 makes my old hammers seem like toys.

I’ve had this hammer for about a year now and absolutely love it. It took me a week or so to get use to it, but now there is no going back well worth it
